A note on finding Darree park.  Whenever I've used my GPS to get there, it takes me to 161 Plain City-Dublin Rd.  You take a left to go south on Cosgray.  The actual address will take you to a closed gate (or at least it does on my Garmin).  Keep going south to the round-about at Cosgray Rd. and Shier Rings Rd.   There's a sign there that will point you to the open park entrance, on your right. 

Also, remember that there is construction at 161 and 270.  You can't cross 270 west bound on 161 coming out of old Dublin. 

No U12 practice for Monday 9/28

They played several games over the weekend, and many will be out for a school function.  No U12 practice today.

Dublin Cup:  I double checked the schedule on the tournament website.  All the schedule and location information I sent out before is still correct.  Remember the first game is at Hard Road Park, not Darree.  Where black shorts and white jersey and socks for the first game.  All black for games two and three.  Bring both uniforms in case there is a change.
 
U11 Practice:  There will be a substitute coach for the U11 practice at 9 on Saturday.
 
Additional games:
There was a lot of email traffic about adding games today.  Hopefully I'll get it all in this note.  None of this is confirmed yet.  Coaches have agreed on times, but they don't appear on the OCL schedule yet.
 
U12: Away game on 10/10 at 9:30 AM against Capital City Futbal Club Red G12.  This is a team from Westerville.
 
U11: Home game on 10/24 at 2:00PM against Worthington United Strikers.
 
U11: Away game on 10/31 against Crew Juniors U11 Black.  10:30 AM at Gahanna Thompson Park. 
 
U11:  Mark has applied for the Club Ohio Fall Classic tournament the weekend of 11/7-11/8.

U11: Practice Saturday Dublin Cup: Uniforms

U11 will practice at 9 on Saturday with Mark.

For the tournament, we are the "home" team for the first game, so where white.

For the other two scheduled games, where black.

Be prepared to change if necessary at game time.  Mix-ups with this are very common.  Sometimes you have to switch at the last minute.

Dublin United Tournament next weekend. Roster and game times.

We're going to be playing the the Dublin United Cup this weekend.

We'll register a roster of 20 players.  That will be the 17 U12 girls, plus Grayson, Eva, and Caroline.  If your U12 player cannot participate in the tournament, please let us know.

There is a registration form that will need to be signed by a parent for each girl on the roster.  We can start to collect signatures at tonights U12 game.

The tournament is at Dublin Daree Park.  I'll send out directions later.

It looks like we play in a group of 4.  We play each of the other teams once.  They final will be a re-match of the top 2 teams.

I didn't mention in my note yesterday that the U11 team will have there normal practice time at 9AM Saturday.

U12 will have a home game at 6 on Saturday 9/19.  Please arrive at the practice field by 5:30.

 Our home field is set up now.  It runs North to South behind Tremont School.  Thanks to Jillian's and Sally's parents for helping us paint the field lines and set up the new goal.

Painting field lines and setting up goals for the home field.  Help would be appreciated.  

Field Volunteers needed; New games for U11s

Mark and I will be painting lines on out home field at Tremont on Sunday at 3PM.  We'll also be putting new nets on the goals.  We need some volunteers to help us with this.  The more we have the easier and faster it will be.
 
The U11 team will have a game against Grandview at home on 10/3.  I'm still trying to confirm the time for that game.
 
Also we have scheduled a game against a U10 team on 10/4.  This will be at 3:45PM at Dublin Darree Park.  We're playing a U10 team, with a 6v6 format. 
 
That's two games in two days for the U11s.  We'll split the roster, with a focus on the younger girls for the second game.  We'll need a few girls to play in both games.  Keep in mind that some U11s will be playing on the "Select" team for a tournament the weekend of 9/26.

Anderson field is an artificial turf field with bleacher seating.  The schedule says that we're playing on the grass field at the north end of that.  When the U12s played there two weeks ago, they moved the game to the turf field because of some flooding.  There is parking on the street, and in a lot on the south end of the turf field.  

The U12s have no game scheduled this week.  They will have two games next week (9/19 and 9/20).  I haven't heard from the coaches if there will be a U12 practice over the weekend or not.
