U12 has two games this weekend.

This field is tricky to find.  In the fall some people's GPS took them into a neighborhood instead of to the park, so be warned. 
I'm not entirely sure that this will help, but it may be better to set your GPS to 5634 Thompson Rd, instead of 5600.  In google maps, that's the
address that pops up when I click on the park entrance from Thompson Rd. 

Saturday - Home game 3PM vs Dublin United Keltics.  This is a U13/14 team. 

U11 - I'm assuming that with no games this weekend the 11s will practice on Sunday at 12:30.  I'll confirm with Molly later today.

Age level changes, thoughts on the 2016-17 season

I was looking at the US Club Soccer website and I noticed they had published some details about the upcoming changes to the age levels for youth soccer.  I thought I'd pass this along.  Up to now, the cut-off between age levels has been August 1.  Starting with next fall's season, the cut-off will be January 1.  I've included links to both the old and new charts.  For some girls, this mean they will be bumping ahead two levels after this season.

Also, girls entering 7th grade will need to choose between playing for their middle school team and playing for a club in the fall.  You can't do both.  If a lot of our girls choose to play for Hastings or Jones we may not have enough to field a U13 club team for fall.  Mark has said that he might consider having a spring-only club for them next year.  But there are restrictions on how those teams can be put together.  I think the rule is that no more than 6 girls from the same school can be on the same club team.  My oldest daughter was on a spring only club team a few years ago with a mix of girls from Grandview, UA, and Dublin.  Mark said the rules aren't really clear.  Are Hastings and Jones separate schools for this purpose, or are they considered the same since they feed the same High School?  He told me he's looking for clarification on that.   Even if we can have Hasting and Jones together, we may have to recruit from outside of UA to have a complete roster. 

In my own case, Mary is saying she wants to play for Hastings in the fall.

No word yet on the U12 game at Grandview.  OCL website says that field is open, but they are slow to update field status.
